Welcome to the Saskatoon Blue Jays Baseball season. Please browse our website for all contact, division and evaluation information. Please read the following for general information.
Season length: The length of the baseball season varies based on division. The regular season for most divisions begins in early to mid-May and can run into late June/early July. For older divisions, city championships, provincial qualifiers and provincials may run into late July/early August. We refer you to the Baseball Sask website for details pertaining to provincial tournaments.
Equipment: All players are responsible for their own baseball glove, batting helmet and baseball pants. Team jerseys will be supplied and distribution will occur through the team coach or manager at a later date after team formation. When registering for the 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U divisions, please ensure your player's cap size and jersey size are indicated when prompted. When registering for the Rally Cap divisions please select adjustable cap and indicate your player's jersey size (Rally Cap players will keep their jersey at the end of the season). For instructions on determining fitted cap size Click Here
Registration: As in previous years, all players wanting to join the AAA teams MUST be able to commit to the following: City Championships, Provincial Qualifiers, Provincial Championships and Westerns/Nationals if the team qualifies. Please indicate if your player will be able to attend the provincial championships.
Senior Rally Cap ADVANCED (for players born in 2016): this is the third year of the Senior Rally Cap ADVANCED division. The purpose of this division is to create an environment of fun and competition for those in their last year of Senior Rally Cap in order to prepare them for 11U. The season is expected to run from mid-May to the end of July with added practice times. This division will adopt the 11U "A" baseball rules for game play.
NEW THIS YEAR:Please note that if your son/daughter wishes to play Advanced RallyCap they must attend 11U evaluations and the registration deadline for Advanced RallyCap is March 1st.
Coaching: Prospective Coaches must complete and submit a coaching application form and are required to be certified at the level appropriate for the division they coach. Coaching clinics are held throughout the season.
Have you ever considered becoming an umpire? The growth of baseball in our community will mandate more umpires to support all divisions. If you are a current or past player, parent/guardian, grandparent, or baseball enthusiast umpiring may be a way to stay involved in the game, grow the sport in Saskatoon and to make a little extra money. Please see our website for available umpiring clinics this spring.
All registration will be online through our website, with registration fee payment through online credit card only. Those who cannot access online registration or cannot register via credit card can contact the registrar, Madi Yurach Pikaluk, for registration purposes at registrar@saskatoonbluejays.com. Avoid late registration fees and register as early as possible.
